Guys, I don’t know why but I’m not getting a headache when I skip my morning coffee and have a smoothie bowl, instead. It’s kind of shocking considering I usually have about 3 cups of coffee daily. Alright, I’m fudging, it’s actually 3.5 cups. But maybe I don’t brew my coffee too strongly? Yeah, I’m probably still fudging…It’s more likely that I’m getting in my afternoon cup of chai just in time to prevent the headache. Whatever the reason, I’m able to cut back on some caffeine and have more fruit, so yay!
This recipe was inspired by the sliced papaya sitting in the refrigerator (thanks, Mom!).
- 1/2 cup diced papaya
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 pear, sliced
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Blend papaya, pineapple, and almond milk.
- Pour smoothie into a wide bowl.
- Add toppings if desired (walnuts, pear, chia seeds).
